Marketing is a dynamic and exciting industry, and plays a vital role in the success of any business. On this Sandwich course, you’ll gain an understanding of marketing theories and how to apply them, as well as a developing your experience through a valuable year in industry. This time spent working in business provides you with crucial work experience, which is highly prized and much sought after by employers upon graduation. You’ll gain a broad based understanding of business, before specialising in marketing. This course will encourage you to understand and apply marketing theories and techniques in a variety of roles and contexts, placing the customer at the heart of all business activity. The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), providing you with one exemption from a core module towards the CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing. The CIM is the key professional body for Marketing and is highly regarded by employers. This course achieved a 93% satisfaction rating in the National Student Survey 2022. Our Business Management Joint Honours courses are all built on a common first year of study, which means you have the option to transfer to a different Joint Honours course after the first year. Our BA (Hons) Business Management Joint Honours courses have Dual Award status with the Chartered Management Institute. Modules
Year One: Six core modules. Year Two: Three core modules, plus two specialist modules and one optional module. Full-time students have the option to replace the specialist and optional modules with a unique half-year opportunity, which include studying abroad, setting up an enterprise, and an industry internship. Year Three: Placement year for students on the four-year course. Final Year: Five core modules plus one optional module. Throughout the course you will study a wide range of modules covering all areas of Business Management as well as modules more specific to Marketing, including Buyer Behaviour, Principles of Marketing, Research for Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications and Contemporary Issues in Strategic Market Management.
