This degree builds on the industry-recognised HNC/D programmes. All first year entrants will start on the HNC and the entry requirements are therefore for this programme. Successful completion will allow you to progress to the second year of the HND. Following achievement of the HND, you can progress to the third year of the degree. Applicants already holding a relevant HNC qualification can apply for direct entry to the second year. When completing your application make sure you choose year two. Applicants already holding a relevant HND qualification can apply for direct entry to year three, again where this is the case please make sure you choose year three when completing your application. Choose to follow a Computing/Networking and Cyber Security/Software Engineering path in years 3 and 4, and graduate with a BSc (Hons) in your chosen pathway. Please note that UHI North Highland, UHI Outer Hebrides and UHI West Highland have changed their names to become UHI North, West and Hebrides. This will not impact on your choice of course or how and where you will study.

Entry to year two, HND, is an appropriate computing based HNC, such as HNC Computing or HNC Information Technology Entry to year three of the degree is an appropriate computing-based HND such as: HND Computer Science; HND Technologies in Business; HND Software Development; HND Technical Support; or HND Information Technology.
