Do you want to make a real difference in people’s lives by helping them communicate and connect with the world? Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) are professionals who help children and adults who have difficulties with communication or eating, drinking or swallowing. Our BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy course offers you the knowledge, clinical skills, and confidence to become a compassionate and capable healthcare professional. This course is due to be accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). When you graduate from this course, you will be eligible to apply for registration as a Speech and Language Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Throughout the course, you will explore: Anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience of communication and swallowing Language development and disorders Phonetics and phonology Clinical linguistics Eating, drinking, and swallowing competencies Evidence-based assessment and intervention Interprofessional collaboration and leadership in health and care.
