Course summary
This MA Virtual Production offers a dedicated pathway for postgraduates to enter specialised technical sectors within the screen industries. Students will have the opportunity to explore and utilise a range of VR software, including VR painting, 3D modelling and environment design, 360-degree video capture, and games development. Programme Overview This course has a practical focus and incorporates elements of Universal Design for Learning, particularly in its assessments. Students will engage in group work and collaborate across cohorts, fostering the creative peer relationships essential for success in the screen industries. 1-year intensive programme Technical specialisation to be taken during the course Taught by working industry professionals allowing students to receive training to industry standard from people who have up-to-date knowledge. Specialist seminar groups Access equipment and facilities outside of class time This course prepares students to enter the fast-growing VP industry and various other sectors that are rapidly adopting VP technologies. Graduates may also progress to roles in film distribution, web content creation, live event production, and music video production. ' Subject to validation by Falmouth University ' Professional Perspectives We organise a series of events throughout the year where screen professionals tell their stories. In these sessions, a Guest Speaker is invited into the school to speak about their career and experience in the industry. Entry requirements
You will need at least a 2.2 honors degree, in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience. International students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in any band)or equivalent. Applicants for this course will be invited to attend an interview. All applicants must submit a visual portfolio with their application.This will be show-reel of your work (a maximum of 10 minutes in length).
