The MArch Architecture at Bath Spa produces creative, reflective, and ethical graduates, able to design a better world. Anchored in practice-based learning, this course offers the opportunity to define your own learning paths and engage with complex issues as evidence-based designers. Working in the award-winning Locksbrook Campus, you’ll be inspired to become creative, curious, and confident design practitioners. At the heart of our postgraduate Architecture course is a focus on regenerative design for both people and planet. With a strong emphasis on making and materiality and collaborative design practice, this course is designed for those ready to deepen their practice. You’ll work closely with experienced academics and practitioners, engage in live projects, and graduate with the confidence and skills to shape meaningful change in the built environment. On our MArch course you’ll build on the foundations of your undergraduate course. You’ll develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours to meet the ARB Academic Outcomes expected of a Level 7 (Part 2) Architecture student. Bath is a World Heritage City that has always been at the cutting edge of architecture; the balance of old and new here is evident in everything from the city’s famous Georgian buildings to the redeveloped former Herman Miller factory site that has become Bath Spa University’s state-of-the-art Locksbrook Campus. This Master of Architecture degree (Part 2 / Academic Outcomes) is currently being accredited by the Architects Registration Board with full accreditation anticipated by September 2026.
