Course summary
This Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation Year has been developed for home and international students who want to study for an undergraduate degree but do not currently have the qualifications to do so. You may have just finished, or be about to finish, your studies and be looking for a programme that will provide you with the knowledge, skills, confidence and study skills needed for undergraduate study. You will be equipped with written and oral communication skills and will be supported in becoming a critical, creative thinker and decision maker. If you’re an international student, you will also be assisted with the transition into UK Higher Education, ready to make use of the resources and opportunities available at Edge Hill University. Successful completion of the foundation year at the required pass mark enables progression onto selected degrees at Edge Hill University.

Assessment method
You will be assessed through a range of methods to prepare you for your study beyond this foundation year. This will include written assignments, coursework, presentations and class-tests.

This includes additional qualifications such as Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), AS Levels that haven’t been continued to A Level, and General Studies AS or A Level awards.
