Course summary
BSc (Hons) Digital Design is only available at point of entry 3. Study the creation of visual design, user experience for web, mobile and motion graphics at degree level. Solve complex problems with innovative, visually creative solutions and progress as a Digital Designer or UI/UX Designer. Year 3 entry only BSc Digital Design develops specialist skills in the creation of visuals and graphics for digital solutions such as web and mobile applications or motion graphics. This course will prepare you for creative roles in the expanding digital industry. By undertaking studio-based projects, you will realise your design ambitions using industry-standard design and prototyping software. Throughout the course, you will acquire the necessary technology skills and user-centred design thinking to create digital solutions for a variety of media including websites, motion graphics and mobile applications. You will be introduced to user psychology and learn how to apply techniques and skills in user experience and user interface design to create functional and beautiful digital products. You will also have the opportunity to understand how design can have social impact and learn how to apply your skills to tackle challenging issues facing today's society. The course provides opportunities to partner with industry and enterprise on real and/or simulated design briefs ensuring that you experience the culture, pace and demands of industry and are well prepared for employment. Your career Graduates of this course can expect varied career opportunities with exciting roles such as Graphic Designer, Digital Designer, UX Designer, UI Designer, UX Researcher, Social Media Designer and Motion Graphic Designer.
