On our four-year course with a placement year, you’ll gain a whole 12 months of real-life, hands-on experience in industry before you graduate. This course flexes to your interests as you learn, sharing a common first year with our BA Business Economics programme – you can switch direction in the second year, taking your career where you want it to go. Where could this take me? Graduate with a degree in Economics from Hull, and you’ll be in good company. You could enter the Government Economic Service, the UK’s principal employer of economists, or work for economic consultancies or trade representative bodies such as the CBI. Assessment method

You'll be assessed through a combination of written, practical and coursework assessments throughout your degree. Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests. Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work. Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.

Applicants must also have GCSE Mathematics at Grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths. Applicants with other qualifications are welcome to apply.
