Course summary
Develop doctoral level research skills and take rigorous training in clinical practice with our Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. You will study at doctoral level, gaining the relevant practical skills and knowledge to become an effective and ethical practitioner psychologist. If you want to become an ethical, reflective and professional practitioner of counselling psychology, our doctorate degree is ideal. You will want to provide psychological services that draw on evidence-based psychological practice. You will be motivated to work on complex issues with individual adults and children, couples, families, groups and organisations. The Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology is a three year full time programme of study. The programme is approved by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), the statutory regulator for Practitioner Psychologists in the UK, and is also accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
