Course summary
Our GIS and Remote Sensing MRes develops the sought after skills to help you become one of the future professionals, policymakers and influencers relied on to use spatial data to benefit society. Working alongside our team of spatial science researchers, you’ll gain an understanding of research methodology, data collection, and analysis, building the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills needed for a career in research. You can explore multiple forms of spatial and remote sensing data including census and survey data, photogrammetry from unmanned aerial vehicles, and airborne and satellite-based multispectral/hyperspectral, lidar and radar data.

Entry requirements
A 2:1 degree in a relevant subject. Students with a degree that does not fall within this category but who have significant relevant experience, will also be considered. All applicants should provide a full description of any research projects undertaken, relevant work experience and non-academic qualifications.
