Assessment method

A range of assessment methodologies are utilised and designed to enable you to explore your chosen discipline and interests, to support your career aspirations and professional networks. Assessment methods include both formative and summative submissions. Formative assessments are designed to develop your critical thinking and subject skills in a regular and directed manner. You will participate in group discussions, give presentations and jointly explore subject content to improve your understanding and skills sets rather than the acquisition of knowledge per se. These formative assessments will deepen your understanding of the subject and develop communication skills; encourage a critical approach and build self-confidence. Formative assessments will support you to think quickly on your feet, to communicate articulately and persuasively with others, and to recognise the value of close collaboration and exchange of ideas. Assessment methods include Case Studies, Problem-Based Scenarios, Financial Analysis and Business Plans, Marketing Strategies and People Plans in addition to Academic and Professional Presentations, Time Constrained Assessments, Formal Examinations and Critical Essays.
