Course summary
Taught by practicing radiographers, this PgCert in Children and Young People Imaging is designed to provide you with the advanced knowledge and skills required in the forever-changing health job market. Developed to meet the continuous professional development (CPD) requirements of health care professionals, who utilise diagnostic imaging procedures in their practice, you will critically reflect on theory, contemporary research, and evidence-based practice related to diagnostic imaging procedures. Taught by experienced specialist paediatric radiographers, children's nurses and specialist healthcare professionals. Excellent course to enhance knowledge for specialist paediatric radiographers. PgCert can contribute towards PgDip/MSc Diagnostic Imaging. Accredited and approved by the College of Radiographers. LSBU Health and Social Care graduates are the second highest paid amongst all London Modern university graduates, and the sixth highest in the UK one year after graduating (DfE LEO data 2022).
Entry requirements
Academic entry criteria: - A degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography. Non-academic entry criteria: - Currently working within a clinical department where appropriate experience of imaging and care for children and young people can be obtained. Non-standard entry The University will select non-standard entrants to the programme in the following ways: All applications are assessed individually. Some flexibility may be exercised to the admissions criteria for students wishing to study individual modules for CPD. Some variation in terms of professional background and education may be accepted and will be considered individually by the course director. Regardless of these conditions, applicants must be able to satisfy the course director and admissions team of their suitability and ability to successfully complete the program of study applied for. English language capability If English is not the first language, students must have an IELTS average score of 7.0 on entry into the course. No individual elements should be below 7.0.
