Course summary

The PGCert is a short (60 credit) course primarily aimed at theology graduates serving in ministry who are considering further study or are looking for continuing professional development. Students take a minimum of 40 credits at Level 7 and a maximum of 20 credits at Level 6 (or biblical language modules at Levels 4 and 5). The PGCert can be taken full time over one semester or part time over two semesters.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

  • Course does not award QTS

How to apply

International applicants

The full time PGCert is taken over one semester and could potentially be studied while in the UK on a visitor visa.
