The early years sector is diversifying and there is an increasing demand for highly-trained staff. This course will help you develop expert skills and knowledge needed for working with children and is perfect for those who would like to work in early years or education. We encourage you to take part in a work placement as this will help you put your theoretical knowledge into practice. Placement opportunities are varied and could include nurseries, schools, children’s centres, voluntary community groups and special education provision. What’s next? Standard entry criteria: Level 3 qualification relevant to the early years sector or appropriate A-Levels Non-standard entry: Other qualifications, or significant industry experience, will be considered. Additional requirements: At least four GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including maths and English (science if progressing to teaching) or appropriate key skills or Functional Skills at Level 2. A clear DBS.
