Course summary
If you are considering a career in business, or in management and leadership more generally, this BSc is an excellent place to begin. You’ll graduate as a confident, independent thinker, with the detailed knowledge and skills you need to adapt rapidly to change. BSc Business Management will give you knowledge into the core areas of corporate life, including managing people, operations, logistics, marketing, finance, and the role of ethical management. You will explore how businesses can operate effectively in a multicultural environment, while learning to identify and solve business problems yourself, and communicate your ideas with impact. This course also has the option of a one year paid work placement, to boost your employability even further. And throughout the degree you will have access to employability events, guest speakers from the business world, and access to mentoring and careers support. Over the course of your studies, you will gain the key attributes employers value, such as commercial acumen, self-reflection and emotional intelligence, together with skills in research, numeracy, project management and leadership. You'll get to hear from and meet industry experts, gain vital work experience, as well as having personalised face-to-face and 24/7 online study and career support. And, if you need it, throughout your studies you'll have access to personal wellbeing and mental health support. This course has a timetable designed to fit around your commitments, and we have plenty of support for commuting students, including free on-campus car parking, excellent transport links and a free bus service. We also offer all new students guaranteed on-campus accommodation. This programme is dual accredited to a CMI qualification. Upon successful completion of the programme, Roehampton on-campus students, will be eligible for a CMI L5 qualification in Management and Leadership (subject to passing the required mapped CMI modules and CMI moderation).
