This MSc programme combines principles from mechanics, electronics, control, computers, automation, and robotics to design, manufacture and test smart and cognitive systems and devices, that use a combination of these disciplines. This will enable you to gain a depth of advanced knowledge and critical awareness of the most up-to-date practices and theories in mechatronics and computer systems engineering. Assessment method
You'll be assessed through a written exam, laboratory-based coursework, and a dissertation or a major project. The written exam will be to test your theoretical knowledge and understanding. Coursework will assess your practical skills, while the dissertation will be for applying learning outcomes to a project related to design and development with applications in the industry.

Accepted Qualifications Bachelor's degree BEng with minimum Second Class (2:2) or BSc with minimum Upper Second Class (2:1) in Engineering. The length of the course will depend on your current level of English and the requirements for your degree programme. We offer a 5-week and an 10-week pre-sessional course.
