Course summary
Human rights have become a central, defining feature of modern international law. Applicable to everyone across the world, regardless of their religion and beliefs, nationality, and sex, they set the ethical and moral framework against which the actions of individuals, governments, businesses and other institutions are judged, justified and challenged. This LLM sets international human rights in their broader philosophical, historical and social contexts, providing an interdisciplinary study of the international legal processes designed to ensure their realisation.
