Course summary

The BA (Hons) Early Childhood with Montessori Pedagogy (Level 6 Top Up) provides an excellent progression route for students with a Foundation degree in Montessori Pedagogy. It can be completed either 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time. Our early childhood studies degree will advance your career prospects and give you a fascinating insight and critical appreciation of Montessori pedagogy within a wider early childhood studies perspective. You will have the opportunity to complete your own independent research project that addresses an issue, topic, or challenge within Montessori education.

Modules

Practice module 5 Montessori Educational Setting, Practice module 6, Critical and Global Perspectives on Education, Mental Wealth: Academic and Professional Skills for Life 3, Independent Research Project (Montessori).

Assessment method

Coursework will include presentations, video reports, research-based assignments and learning logs. You will be assessed by 100% coursework. Assessments are set at the end of each term and include essays, presentations, case studies, professional development and practical activities. More details will be included in your module guides. All grades count towards your module mark. Feedback is provided within 15 working days in line with UEL's assessment and feedback policy.
