We have an international reputation in many key areas, including theoretical and applied economics. Our research interests include behavioural and experimental economics, competition economics, environmental policy, conflict, contests and corporate behaviour, finance and financial markets, and Applied Econometrics. Our MSc Economics and Data Science integrates a thorough grounding in data science skills into the framework of our traditional Masters Programme in Economics. About This Course There is currently much excitement surrounding the concepts of “big data” and “data science”. In many different sectors, there is a high and growing demand for skills in these areas. This degree provides these skills, along with a thorough grounding in Economics and Econometrics. The degree is targeted at those who already have a strong background in Economics (i.e. at least an upper second class degree, or equivalent, in Economics). Moreover, the two components of this course fit naturally together because the focus of the data-science training is on economic applications. Disclaimer Course details are subject to change.
