Explore mathematic modules including pure and modern applied mathematics, as well as probability and statistics. You’ll also consider hot topics such as social justice and sustainability.    Research lies at the heart of our department, and you'll be taught by leading experts who have many years of experience working in the financial market and discovering new mathematical insights.   In third year, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to go global and study abroad. YEAR 1 Applied Calculus Applied Probability & Statistics Economics for Business Management Fundamentals of Management  Numbers, Sets and Functions Vectors and Matrices Please note that all modules are subject to change.

Assessment method

Most of your modules will be assessed by an examination worth at least 90 per cent of the year’s study, with the remainder covered by coursework and tests. Some BSc students will also complete a final-year project. Management modules are assessed using a combination of coursework (presentations, assignments, essay report writing, in-class tests, research and project work) and/or examinations in May or June.
