Course summary

On this programme, you’ll learn about the theory and practice of politics in the contemporary world – comparing political ideologies and systems in different cultures and countries. You’ll also look at the role of politics and power in international relations and examine how the international community works in terms of rules, interests, institutions and customs. Your time will be divided equally between politics and international relations and you can tailor your studies to your interests and career aspirations. You’ll study alongside students from many countries – providing rich and diverse insights from different perspectives. Our graduates embark on careers in the financial sector, central and local government, policy work, teaching, research and IT and digital technology.
