Course summary

Educational policy makers, researchers and teachers recognise that social justice is at the very heart of all their work in education. Students will understand the philosophical issues, explore levels of achievement and attainment and investigate pedagogical issues. This programme will be attractive to all those who have an interest in fair and decent, diverse and inclusive, national and global societies. The programme will be of interest to those who see themselves as current or future teachers, researchers or policy makers. Students take compulsory modules about social justice and how to do research, 2 optional modules, analyse and complete a dissertation.
