Course summary
Are you looking to combine academic rigour with the latest industry and entrepreneurial skills in media production? In this course you will discover the wide range of opportunities that exist in media production whilst giving you the opportunity to come together to better understand contemporary media production and distribution practices and the resulting network effects driven by social media. In addition to producing practical work for contemporary online content platforms, you will also produce work related to areas of emerging content production, such as augmented and mixed reality applications in our state-of-the-art facilities. Alongside the practical skills you will gain, the course explores the cultural and political debates surrounding the role and responsibilities media platforms and governments have towards today’s audiences, enabling you to forge your own career path within a dynamic, constantly evolving industry. On completion of the course you will graduate with an impressive portfolio of original work which you will have the opportunity to showcase in the creative technologies degree show which evidences to employers that you are ready for a career in an ever-changing digital and technological landscape.
