Course summary
Our MPH (Global Health) course enables you to evaluate and analyse global public health problems in relation to a population’s health and well-being. As well as the practical skills needed to succeed in public health across the globe. The Nottingham Centre for Public Health and Epidemiology at the University of Nottingham holds a full Institutional-level Accreditation by the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA). The MPH (Global Health) course curriculum is fully accredited by APHEA. Internationalisation and globalisation is embedded throughout the course; this focus ensures that you're developing a broad understanding of the differences in how public health issues are addressed across the globe. You'll be taught by a wide range of globally renowned public health experts who are at the forefront of public health in their specialisms. Modules
You'll study across a number of compulsory modules designed to give you a broad overview of all aspects of global public health training like epidemiology and medical statistics as well as how to perform research. You'll also have a selection of optional modules to help you tailor your studies to your specific interests and work balance. These will introduce you to various specialities in public health including health behaviour, nutrition and health economics. If you choose the full MPH (Global Health) route, you'll take all of the compulsory modules and choose 30 credits worth of optional modules for a total of 180 credits. Assessment method
Assessment methods vary and include: written assignments demonstrating different styles of writing; examinations; verbal communication skills (e.g. oral presentations); management and analysis of data.
Entry requirements
2.1 (or international equivalent) in a relevant degree with vocational experience. English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any element).
