Our Master of Public Health (MPH) degree will support you to work in a variety of organisations nationally and internationally to protect and promote the health of groups and communities. You will learn how to use research, empirical evidence, statistics and national and international policies, to address inequalities in health and improve health for a range of populations. The MPH programme has been developed to align with public health standards in the UK and is taught by academics with a wealth of experience in promoting and improving population health. The MPH programme has been developed to enable you to take your own experience, reflect on it and apply new knowledge to advance your understanding. Small class sizes and a student-centred approach will support your learning and enable you to consider your own areas of interest and also to expand your learning into whole new areas. The clinical skills suite, including a state-of-the-art immersive lab has recently been developed to bring case-based learning to life. You will be supported to undertake a dissertation on a topic of interest supported by a health academic. The programme topic areas will be considered within a national and international context. Employability The recent Covid 19 pandemic has demonstrated the requirement for public health practitioners and specialists to improve population health in challenging and serious times. However public health practitioners and specialists are always required to work towards increasing health across groups and communities and to decrease health inequalities no matter what the context. Entry Requirements A 2.2 degree in a related subject area and English Language and Mathematics requirements.
