Course summary

Our online Healthcare Quality Management programme allows you to work towards advanced postgraduate qualifications that will support career moves to senior management positions. Our healthcare quality management Programmes are online degrees aimed at health sector employees who want to keep up to date with latest developments in healthcare quality management and related subjects. You can study these individually for your continuing professional development (CPD) or follow a specific pathway to work towards a postgraduate award (PGCert / PGDip / MSc) in Healthcare Quality Management. The awards require a combination of optional and compulsory modules that focus on application in practice within a framework of governance and risk management. For the MSc, you will need to complete four online courses within three to five years plus a workplace-based project focused on quality. Each 12-week online module is tailored to meet workplace needs and comes with full support from an experienced practitioner. The modules have been created by NHS Trusts, Pathology Joint Ventures, UK Health Security Agency and the University of Greenwich, and are accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science. The spread over five years is an example of how the study can be completed. There is flexibility for completion in a shorter or longer timeframe – maximum 3 years for PG Cert; 5 years for PG Dip; 7 years for the full MSc. What you should know about this course

Entry requirements

An undergraduate (honours) degree at 2:2, or above. Applicants without a degree that have professional clincial qualications or relevant professional experience in healthcare/the NHS may be considered. Applicants are also expected to be registered practitioners.
