Course summary
Develop core skills and knowledge, and tailor your learning to the areas of maths you’re most passionate about with our flexible BSc Mathematics degree. Your degree will meet the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications when followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competencies to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught master's degrees. This degree includes an integrated, year-long work placement between your second and final year. We offer a variety of placements – in areas such as finance, statistics or modelling – to provide you with valuable experience and insight into industry. Our dedicated placements officer can offer advice and support to find your ideal placement, as well as developing your CV and interview skills.
