Course summary
Learning a language and understanding how languages work opens doors to other cultures and communities, offering a richer experience of the world than most tourists ever encounter. It also provides a strong foundation for success in the global workplace. On this flexible degree, you'll study two modern languages, choosing from French, German and Spanish, or combine one with English language studies. You'll explore how language reflects and shapes communication, culture and identity while developing your own proficiency and confidence. On completion, you'll be a culturally aware and independent communicator with skills that are highly valued in today’s diverse, interconnected world. Key features of the course

Modules
This qualification has three stages, each comprising 120 credits. In Stage 1, you’ll study a compulsory 30-credit or 60-credit module, depending on if you choose to combine English language studies with a modern language or choose two modern languages. You’ll choose your remaining 90 or 60 credits from a range of language modules. In Stage 2, you’ll study a 60-credit module in each of your chosen subjects/languages. In Stage 3, you’ll study a 60-credit module in each of your chosen subjects/languages.
