The BTEC Higher National qualifications in Engineering are aimed at students wanting to continue their education through applied learning. Higher Nationals provide a wide-ranging study of the engineering sector and are designed for students and apprentices who wish to pursue or progress their career in engineering.

Interview

As the HNC demands significant analytical skills, all applicants will be required to have a formal interview and complete a diagnostic test to confirm that their Maths base is sufficient to be developed to Level 4.

The approximate guideline minimum English level required for entry at level 4 is "B2" on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
