Course summary

On Warwick's LLM in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, you will undertake in-depth comparative and contextual study of the regulation of the company. Studying the main topics in corporate governance and financial law will help prepare you for your future career. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), Warwick Law School was ranked equal 10th out of 69 Law Departments in terms of its Research Environment, 8th in terms of the Quality of its Research, and equal 8th overall. On this LLM programme you will undertake in-depth comparative and contextual study of the regulation and governance of companies. You will look at the various ways in which different jurisdictions respond to similar economic and social pressures, examining key topics in the post financial crisis era. You will develop an understanding of the interaction between the process of globalisation and general principles and theories of corporate governance and financial regulation. The course allows you to study the main topics in corporate governance and financial law and regulation, including compliance dimensions but you will also learn to appreciate the economic and social context in which corporate decisions are made, as well as the historical and theoretical dimensions of corporate governance and financial regulation. **Minimum requirements** 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in law or a related subject with a law component. **English language requirements** You can find out more about our English language requirements. This course requires the following: - Band B - IELTS overall score of 7.0, minimum component scores of two at 6.0/6.5 and the rest at 7.0 or above. **International qualifications** We welcome applications from students with other internationally recognised qualifications.
