Course summary

A PhD at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN) gives students the chance to deep dive into the intricate relationship between the brain and mental processes like perception, memory, language, and consciousness. As the ICN is situated within the Faculty of Brain Sciences with staff members belonging to different research divisions and departments, our PhD students are based in a truly interdisciplinary institute.


Entry requirements

Normally a minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree or a taught UK Master's degree in a relevant subject from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. English level: Level 2
