Course summary

Built for those with both business and non-business backgrounds, this course enhances your current skillset (from marketing to client relations) and prepares you for future industry challenges. You’ll gain a variety of tools and techniques, as well as a reflective, ethical and moral mindset in preparation for the complexities of business operations and international trade. You’ll develop a deep understanding of how global business thrive, as well as their problems, drivers of change and intricate cultural dynamics – and build your knowledge of surrounding disciplines including international relations, finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship and more, developing your strategic expertise, analytical capabilities and creative communication skills. You’ll also learn a business-critical language and take part in practical exercises that expose you to real issues such as geopolitical, economic, sociocultural and regulatory challenges, or the importance of aligning financial, environmental, social and governance standards, and train you to respond effectively in complex international environments. You can also apply to join our Luxury Lab consultancy series: an extra-curricular project giving you the chance to collaborate with a small group of students across the University on a real challenge a luxury brand is facing. Recent partners have included Estée Lauder Companies, Laurent Perrier and Fortnum & Mason. In your final term, you’ll complete a major business project or dissertation – researching, analysing and applying your knowledge to a real business case. You’ll leave Regent’s with a wide range of transferable skills, including cultural awareness, adaptability, ethical decision-making and emotional intelligence – as well as the ability to assess situations and organisations, build strategies, develop creative solutions to fast-moving challenges and communicate effectively in an international business context. Whether you aspire towards working for an international corporation, starting a new venture, acquiring international business portfolios, gaining prestigious management, consulting and strategic marketing roles or joining an existing family business, this degree has been designed with you in mind.

Entry requirements

Academic requirements: Level 7 We're interested in your potential, as well as your prior achievements – and we review each application comprehensively on its own merit. You'll need one of the following qualifications: Minimum second class UK undergraduate degree Equivalent international qualifications, as deemed acceptable by Admissions & UK ENIC Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning We also welcome applications from students who don't meet our usual entry requirements. To be accepted for exceptional entry, you must: Have three years of work experience if you don't hold a degree You'll need to provide us with: Your current CV A headed employment letter detailing your position and length of service A headed reference letter A personal statement outlining your experience and ambitions This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, by academic referral only. English language requirements Minimum English proficiency requirement through one of the following qualifications (or equivalent): Qualification Subject Grade GSCE* English C (4) IB SL or HL* English A 4 IB HL* English B 5 US HSD (studied in a majority English-speaking country)* Grade 11 and above in English C IELTS* Academic Overall score of 6.5, with 5.5 or above in each component UG degree From English-speaking countries – defined by the UKVI Second class Please note, we do not accept home/online editions of English language tests. *Qualification satisfies the English language requirements of the UKVI for non-UK/Irish nationals.
