About this course This course explores the development of international relations and the key ideas that have shaped our understanding of the modern system. You will examine institutions, such as the United Nations and the European Union, and study debates concerning globalisation and underdevelopment. Through a flexible choice of option modules, you may tailor the course to your interests. Specialisms include international political economy, conflict, security and human rights. In a dissertation, you will study an area of interest in further depth, with one-to-one support and expert supervision. Example modules

Assessment typically comprises exams (e.g. test or exam), practical (e.g. presentations, performance) and coursework (e.g. essays, reports, self-assessment, portfolios, dissertation). Entry requirements

A 2:2 or above honours degree or equivalent in any discipline. Candidates with non-standard qualifications but with relevant experience, are welcome to apply.
