Our BA (Hons) Interior Architecture (with Integrated Foundation Year) is a four year degree programme, including a foundation year to help develop your creativity before you embark on year one of a degree. On our BA (Hons) Interior Architecture degree course at UCA Canterbury, you'll focus on the interface between the existing and proposed elements of a design, between the construction detailing, technical services and interior spatial experience. Interior architecture and interior design are two closely linked disciplines with significant overlap in terms of skills and design processes. On this course you'll learn through progressive briefs that engage with real-world challenges, through research, and through design as your primary means of inquiry. With access to our cutting-edge facilities, including 3D workshops and full-equipped computer studios, you'll be given the freedom and confidence to speculate, and become aware of your social responsibility as a designer of the built environment. You’ll also benefit from interaction with industry through live project opportunities and masterclasses, helping you build industry-relevant skills that ensure you graduate ready for the workplace, By the end of the course, you'll be a socially responsible, confident, innovative, and entrepreneurial graduate who has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to play an active role in practice or postgraduate study. We require evidence of your English language ability to meet the requirements for your course. If you're a Home student and studied in the UK, we require GCSE English at a minimum grade C/4 (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2). If you’re an EU student and studied a European qualification, we may accept the English Language score from your main qualification - please review your country from the list on our website to see whether we will accept it: https://www.uca.ac.uk/international-study/equivalent-qualifications/ If your qualification is not on this list, we accept the following English language qualifications: IELTS (overall score 6.0), TOEFL ibt (overall score 88), PEARSON PTE Academic (overall 55), Cambridge Proficiency Exam (overall score 169), Cambridge Advanced Exam (overall score 169). If you need a Tier 4 student visa to study in the UK, you will need to take an IELTS test, and achieve an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum score of 5.5 for each element (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing).
