This is a full-time qualification. We cannot accept applications from those in full time employment due to the intensive nature of the course. Our course provides an in-depth understanding of global educational concepts, theories, and frameworks, with a strong emphasis on educational practice. Our course encourages you to adopt an international perspective and critically examine potential issues in education around the globe as well as nationally. Some of the topics you will study include:
- learning, teaching and assessment across different educational frameworks.
- key educational issues across different cultures, ages and settings.
- undertaking research, honing skills in research methodology.
- designing, implementing, and presenting research findings.

Assessment method
In all cases, the use of a virtual learning environment will offer asynchronous online activities as part of your guided independent study. Please note that as well as meeting University expectations in English competency, the discussion-based nature of workshops and oral assessments require students to have confidence in their spoken ability to participate fully in the programme. Entry requirements
Individuals with an undergraduate degree, typically 2.1 or higher, with an interest in pursuing a career in education. Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) to the value of 30 credits is available within the master's framework. It is possible to APL against either Capturing Professional Education or Mentoring in the Practice Setting/ Principles of Practice Education. It is not possible to APL against the research modules. Where APL is sought, there is a requirement that it must have been conferred within the last 5 years.
