Our course covers a wide range of modules, including Business Intelligence and Applied Cryptography in the Cloud. In Business Intelligence, you’ll learn how to transform raw data into meaningful insights, driving strategic decision-making in any business environment. The Applied Cryptography module will immerse you in the fascinating world of cloud security, training you how to encrypt and decrypt data, ensuring secure communication in the cloud. Whether you’re looking to embark upon a new career or advance in your current one, our HND Cyber Security course offers a unique blend of theory and practical application, preparing you for a success in the dynamic field of cyber security. Upon successful completion of the course, you will have acquired skills that enable you to consider career paths as a Software Developer, Solutions Architect, Test Analyst, Data Analyst, Network Engineer or technician or a Systems Technician. Alternatively, you may wish to progress onto a Top up degree to achieve a full Level 6 BSc.

Modules

This course includes the following core modules that all students complete: Level 5- Year 1 Business Intelligence- core mandatory; Internet of Things- core mandatory; Emerging Technologies- core mandatory; Applied Security in the Cloud- specialist mandatory; Applied Cryptography in the Cloud- specialist mandatory; Information Security Management in the Cloud- specialist mandatory; Digital Sustainability; Pitching and Negotiating Skills. Occasional changes to modules and course content may take place. Students will be notified when applicable.

Assessment method

The primary way of delivering this programme is in-person, on campus. This includes interactive lectures, workshops, practical sessions and independent study. Some elements of this programme may also be delivered online.
