There’s a global need for real-world understanding of crime, criminals and punishment. On this course, you’ll explore crime and deviance from an interdisciplinary perspective, combining criminological and psychological perspectives. You’ll study:
- the wider social and structural issues associated with crime
- the ‘inner’ psychological workings of people.
- (violent) extremism, online extremism/terrorism and counter-terrorism policy
- hate crime policy, gender/disability and victimisation
- women who kill, gender and crime, race and crime
- capital punishment, cultural and historical criminology.
