Maritime Operations Management (Electro-Technical) with Bridging Module from HND/Advanced Diploma This BSc (Hons) top-up in Maritime Operations Management is a future-focused programme that will enable you to develop the essential knowledge and skills preparing you for future success in work and life across the maritime industry. Developed in line with the UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) Maritime 2050 Report, this programme is industry relevant, future-focused and through continuous engagement with industry partnerships, the programme will remain industry specific and of high quality. The programme is aimed at those who have already completed an Advanced Diploma/Higher National Diploma. This programme includes a pre-entry bridging module which you will be required to complete prior to the main course commencement. This will support the development of academic study skills and will be delivered via a blended approach. The programme explores the maritime industry from a holistic perspective, creating effective maritime industry managers for the future, and is designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills that will prepare graduates for number of current and future career opportunities, both at sea and ashore. It enables maritime professionals to develop a career in the shore-based maritime sector or have a professional degree to support their career at sea. Your programme will comprise of four modules weighted at twenty credits each, focusing on Digital Ship Management, Green Ship Management, the Management of Maritime Projects, and a twenty credit module focusing on future technologies aligned to your pathway. Finally, there will be a forty credit Dissertation module which will be based on a subject of your choice, linked to your pathway and career aspirations. Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

Entrants onto the programme will have successfully completed the STCW-aligned Foundation Degree at a UK Maritime Academy. Applicants with Advanced Diploma/Higher National Diploma Applicants enrolling onto the programme with an Advanced Diploma/Higher National Diploma will be required to undertake a three-week pre-entry bridging module prior to the course commencement, which will be delivered via blended learning. Entry to the BSc programme is conditional upon passing this module.

English language requirements

To apply for a visa, you will need to prove your English language abilities with a secure English language test (SELT). We require CEFR level B2, with a minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5, which means you must score a minimum of 4.0 in each of the following elements - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
