Recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, it meets the authority's training requirements and covers a range of legal subjects prescribed by the professional body. As part of this course, you’ll:
- Focus on realistic case studies and take part in workshops that explore the challenges of professional practice
- Be taught by a team of academic staff who are qualified lawyers with wide-ranging professional experience that will feed into your learning
- Be supported by staff through a variety of option modules as you start to explore areas of interest

- Designed to be as flexible as possible, this course will give you the option to study on campus or via online distance learning. If you choose our online distance learning delivery, you’ll be able to access our live LPC workshops anywhere in the world using Microsoft Teams. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend some on-campus sessions during key times such as induction, revision and for employability events
- Law Trove - an online service giving you free access to over 200 legal textbooks, meaning you spend less, if anything, on textbooks
- Mentoring scheme - benefit from being paired with a professional mentor from Leeds’ legal or business community

Entry requirements
Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours qualifying law degree or a postgraduate diploma in law (GDL/CPE). Applicants are required to provide a letter from their awarding institution to confirm they hold a qualifying law degree. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
