This course has modules relating to the use of English language and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) , which will help you to become qualified with a specialist subject expertise in English language and an internationally recognised teaching qualification. Completion of the course gives you a qualification that will allow you to apply for positions as an English Language teacher both in the UK and abroad. However, you will also benefit from a thorough exploration of English language, developing skills in critical thinking, written and spoken communication skills, and teaching practice. If you’ve recently completed or studied modules as part of a previous qualification, you may be eligible to apply for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). Entry to all years except Year 1 will require APL. Once you have submitted an application for the programme, you will need to complete the relevant paperwork for APL as well.
