Learn psychological theories, concepts and methods of enquiry and apply them to the fashion industry, allowing you to tackle real business challenges. What can you expect? BSc (Hons) Psychology of Fashion, breaks new ground by applying psychological science in the context of fashion to enable an evidence-based understanding of human behaviour across the broad spectrum of the fashion industry.

  • Consumer behaviour: Deep dive into the psychological factors that drive consumer behaviour, exploring how emotions, identity, and social influence shape fashion choices.
  • Unique: Gain an understanding of how psychological principles influence fashion marketing, retail strategies, and product development, preparing you for careers in fashion branding and marketing, in this one-of-a-kind course.
  • Employability: Gain a distinctive edge with a broad knowledge of both fashion business and the biological bases of behaviour. Psychology can be applied in all contexts across the fashion industries and beyond.
  • British Psychological Society accreditation: Our course content is aligned with the British Psychological Society (BPS) core areas and is accredited by the BPS. This brings recognition of the high level of professional skills students on this course can demonstrate.
  • Research skills: Develop strong research skills, analysing consumer attitudes and behaviours through qualitative and quantitative methods to predict future fashion trends.
