Course summary
Mechanical engineering is surely one of the most demanded and popular engineering disciplines. It is predicted that, in the United Kingdom alone, there will be demand for 100,000 new STEM (Science, Technology and Engineering) professionals per year, thus the Royal Academy of Engineering sent out a message that 'Demand for graduate engineers exceeds supply'. As it is a requirement to have an MEng or MSc engineering qualification to achieve a professional affiliation like Chartered Engineer status, an MSc programme would address your needs to attain such status and widen and deepen your skillset for solving 21st century technical challenges. With the recent significant investment in engineering programmes and laboratory facilities, this programme is customised for you to meet the increasing demand for general engineering professionals with advanced technical skills in the mechanical and wider engineering sector. The programme is designed to be a broad and challenging taught postgraduate course, which would be ideal for those who seek a postgraduate qualification to enhance their knowledge, skills, and therefore their employability. The programme would furnish you with the skill sets that are required by industries. The interactive programme will provide you with fundamental and advanced engineering knowledge and hands-on skills that a professional engineer needs for solving technical complex issues with a multi-disciplinary innovative and strategic approach. The programme is aimed at both the home and overseas market and, in particular, students working in the general engineering and technical/management sector or students who would wish to work in these sectors.
