Course summary

Our British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) endorsed BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science (Sailing Performance) programme is built on strong foundations. We were one of the first institutions in the UK to develop a sports related degree programme and 20-years collaborative research and physiological monitoring with the British Sailing Team and the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). You can choose to specialise in one of the core Sport and Exercise Science disciplines (physiology, biomechanics and psychology) alongside bespoke modules tailored towards high performance sailing, delivered by experts in their respective fields. There will be lots of practical sessions, small group seminars and one-to-one tutorials for pastoral care and academic content, all held within state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. This degree is also recognised education partner of CIMSPA (The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).
