Course summary
Every organisation runs on people – who you hire, how you develop them and what motivates them to stay and perform. Get those decisions right and organisations thrive. Walbrook's CMI-accredited MBA Human Resource Management (HRM) prepares you to lead those decisions – and with demand rising across the UK for senior professionals skilled in workforce planning and organisational change, the opportunity to step into strategic HRM leadership has never been stronger. On this MBA, you’ll develop the skills to build talent strategies, design reward systems that drive engagement, and lead change across complex organisations. You’ll study financial intelligence and change management alongside agile HRM, learning to position people decisions as business drivers, not administrative tasks. And when it comes to study, learning is designed around your life. Start any month from April 2026. Study full-time and graduate in 14 months, or choose part-time and progress module by module, 100% online. Flex between full-time and part-time learning, with dedicated support when you need it. Fully accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), you can be confident this course meets professional standards in management education – while also giving you CMI membership that connects you to global networks and puts you on the path to Chartered Manager status.
Modules
Build a work culture where progress feels possible and performance is repeatable. You’ll work across the full HR lifecycle: strategic workforce planning, talent pipelines and succession, reward and performance, and the day‑to‑day practices that keep teams engaged and effective. You’ll use people analytics and financial and business intelligence to show impact, and clear communication to bring managers and teams with you. Leadership runs through the programme. You’ll set measures that link to business goals, scope initiatives that improve how people work and lead cross‑functional change with agile HR methods. By graduation, you’ll be ready to champion people strategy as a business function that shapes direction, not just supports it. Assessment method
All module assessments are completed entirely online. Assessments are varied, practical and designed to reflect the real world. From reports and reflective essays to video pitches and research projects, you’ll apply your knowledge in ways that add to your career. Most modules include three assignments, so you’ll build confidence while developing communication and critical thinking skills.
