Course summary
This course is designed to provide a route to professional and management careers within the industry. ALIGNED WITH INDUSTRY Students will gain both a practical and theoretical understanding of the scientific, mathematical and design principles within Civil Engineering. Courses are delivered by tutors with a range of specialist expertise from Chartered Engineering to Quantity Surveying, legal experts and site engineers from leading companies including Balfour Beatty, Mott McDonald and Highways England. INDUSTRY STANDARD FACILITIES Study in brand new industry standard facilities at the Centre for Advanced Technical Studies. £118,000 investment in new surveying equipment, including a robotic station, 3D laser scanner and GPS surveyor equipment. EXPERIENCE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM As part of the Greater Manchester Institute of Technology (GMIoT) we have access to a partner employer network exposing students to more employers through guest speakers, visits and competitions to enhance their employability opportunities. This course is also available as a part-time option to fit in around your work or family commitments, with part-time day and evening options available and a September or January start.
