Course summary

Develop your commercial legal expertise and enhance your job prospects with our LLM in International Business. Our LLM in International Business is designed to offer you a deep and critical understanding of the complex issues, rules, and regulations relevant to multi and transnational business operations. You will access cutting-edge research, exposing you to the contemporary issues that affect the law in this area. To personalise your studies, you can choose to focus on an area of law that interests you, with one of our four specially designed pathways. From finance or IT to Entrepreneurship or HR, our pathways give you the choice to delve deeper into your passion and excel in your chosen Business Management career. Whether you're a law graduate or looking to develop your understanding of the law from other fields (such as accounting, business, commercial enterprise, economics, finance, human resources, and marketing) our LLM in International Business is recognised internationally and is delivered both in the UK and at centres overseas. You will learn from legal academics who are actively engaged in research and practice. Emerge with a highly desirable qualification that opens up opportunities across a range of sectors around the world. Alongside the compulsory modules, you can select two specialist optional modules to tailor your studies towards your interests (please note, optional units are subject to availability and student numbers).​

Modules

Assessment method

Taught modules on the LLM International Business are assessed through a combination of written coursework, assignments, and oral presentations. Your dissertation will comprise of a single piece of work of up to 12,000-words.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to have at least one of the following: A UK Honours Degree (or the equivalent of a UK Honours Degree) in a subject appropriate to the LLM. OR A postgraduate qualification. OR Appropriate Professional qualifications or experience.
