Course summary

This programme is aimed at those wanting to work in the creative media sector in industries as varied as film, TV or advertising. The course provides you with underpinning knowledge of creative media techniques and theoretical frameworks to underpin these. There is an emphasis on the development of skills, research skills, teamwork and practical skills such as editing, camera work, sound design and directing. The course prepares students to progress to the Level for Higher National Diploma in Creative Media Production, as well as develop practical skills for camera work, editing and directing. The course includes opportunities for students to undertake work experience in the creative media sector, and build upon understanding of the techniques used in film and video editing.
