This course incorporates the latest policies and practices, equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed to meet both current and future industry demands. You will explore the dynamic and essential fields of health and social care, public health, and wellbeing. Community health emphasizes interventions delivered outside traditional healthcare settings, with Community Health Workers playing a vital role in improving access and providing early guidance through strong interpersonal connections. This course will provide opportunities:

  • to progress to the next level of study: 1 year to convert your Certificate into a Diploma in Higher Education—Wellbeing in the Community.
  • to gain employment in Alternative therapeutic practices, Voluntary sector project management, Domiciliary care, Residential Care, Assisted Independent Living, Probationary work, the Police force, and Youth Work.
The course content, includes: Communication and Interpersonal Interaction, Care Practice, Community provision – Safeguarding Vulnerable Individuals, Supporting Independent Living through Empowerment and Resilience.
