Course summary

Develop business-competent HR practices within a global context with this fully online MSc International Human Resource Management. The essence of the programme considers the international dimension and implications of all core HRM practices and their impact on core business functions, including the complexities of managing people across multiple countries, legislative frameworks and cultures, management of expat staff and workforce diversity. Why study this subject? Developed by leading academics in the University of Liverpool’s AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accredited Management School, you will engage with emerging contemporary issues for HRM including changing work practices and forms of flexible and remote working, and the impact of technology including the use of AI and big data. You will also explore topics such as ethical and sustainable business practices, finance and data analysis for managers, and managing change and conflict. Teaching methods and style  This programme is designed to be studied wholly online and part-time. Teaching is delivered through our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment, which provides students with access to all resources required for interactive study online. On this platform you will be encouraged to work collaboratively with classmates and actively read around your topic through our comprehensive library of eBooks and journals.   Career destinations  Upon successful graduation, you will be able to demonstrate enhanced skills and knowledge that enable you to be highly effective managers and HR professionals, who are also able to strategically influence their organisations through people and human resource management and development. Assessment method

Assessment is exclusively through online assignments rather than examinations. You will be assessed through a range of activities, including written assignments, discussion forum participation and journal entries.

Entry requirements

All applicants must provide evidence that they have an English language ability equivalent to an IELTS (academic) score of 6.5. If you don’t have an IELTS or equivalent certificate, you can take our free online English test to assess your proficiency. You don’t need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in, any of the eligible countries on our website.
