The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology offers PhDs in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology. Research within the Department covers a wide and exciting array of activities ranging from quite fundamental research in biology through to the traditional fields of chemical engineering, and the specifics of any project will dictate the activities of the student.


Entry requirements

Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK High II.i Honours Degree. If your degree is not from the UK, please check International Qualifications to find the equivalent in your country: https://www.postgraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/international/international-qualifications Applicants will need a minimum of four years of study at University level in a relevant field, and we would expect a high II.i or first-class (or overseas equivalent) mark in all previous degrees.
